4) Server News #2: OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 available for dedicated servers


OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 is now available as a fully automatic installation for all dedicated servers in EUserv customer panel. The minimum installation as well as RAID1 installation can be selected.

Compared to version 42.1, Leap 42.2 includes even more sourcecode from SLE 12. The operating system was further optimized for use on servers. Also a new kernel is used (4.4). The default kernel has now activated paravirtualization. The support for KVM has also been extended and optimized, as well as the network technology for IP-virtual servers and IPv6 has been improved.
