Hello,

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" is now available for all dedicated servers and can be installed via the EUserv customer panel.
In addition to a standard installation a RAID1 version is also available.

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS will be supported for five years. The main improvement of the latest release is the switch to another program for software installing with support for the package format "Snap". Herewith, Applications can be installed, which do not come with Ubuntu 16.04. LTS.
Furthermore, an operational support of the ZFS file system is included as well as the command line tool apt. This eliminates the previous commands apt-cache and apt-get.


The most important features of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS:

- Package Management using "snap"
- Kernel 4.4.0
- Support of ZFS file system
- apt as command line tool
