Title: Proxmox VE 3.4 for dedicated servers available
Post by: katrinateuserv on March 19, 2015, 09:34:17 AM
Hello,

The virtualization platform Proxmox VE 3.4 is now available for automatic installation on all dedicated servers. As usual, you can choose between a standard and a RAID1 version.

Proxmox VE 3.4 is based on Debian 7.8 ("Wheezy") and allows the management of OpenVZ containers as well as virtual machines using KVM via a graphical web interface. The most significant feature is the support of ZFS Storage with a plugin for GUI. Proxmox thus offers scope for using iSCSI, Ceph, GlusterFS, NFS and ZFS.

In addition, the new "hot plug" feature allows the dynamic provision of virtual storage devices, network interfaces and USB devices during operation. Where the addition is not directly possible, Proxmox notes the changes with the next start of the virtual machine.

If more than one server shall run in a cluster with Proxmox, important config files can now be maintained by redundant corosync on all participating nodes.

More features:

- Update on qemu 2.1.3
- Reworked GUI
- ZFS-Support with Storage-Plugin
- Supports different e1000-driver per VM
- New Hotplug-Feature

kind regards
Katrin
