Hello,
We just updated the Meta-Distribution Gentoo. A recent snapshot is available in the customer panel for automatic installation on all dedicated root servers. In addition to the standard installation a RAID1 version for increased data security is available.
Gentoo has been designed as "Running Release" with continuous updates. A bulk of packages is available as source code and is compiled on the respective hardware. The central part of this Linux distribution is the package management "Portage". This ensures optimum and machine-specific configuration of the software. The modular concept of Gentoo thus allows the most diverse applications, whether as a web server, virtualization host or mail server.
