2) Server News #1: OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 available for all dedicated servers
OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 is available for installation at EUserv customer panel for all dedicated servers. As well standard as RAID1 installation of OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 is offered.
Leap is based on Suse Linux Enterprise 12.1 and comes with Kernel-version 4.1.10. Furthermore OpenSuse 42.1 includes glibc in version 2.19, GCC 4.8.5 and X.org 7.6. The new release also includes an adoption of the version number and support duration. So publication of new versions depends on the release cycle of SLE, so thatr a new major version of OpenSuse will be supported for at least a period of 36 month.
