OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 available for Dedicated Servers
« on: September 14, 2017, 05:43:21 PM »

Hello,

OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 is now available as an automatic installation for all dedicated servers and can be installed via the EUserv customer panel. You can choose between a minimum installation and RAID1.

The current version 42.2 includes, in contrast to the version 42.1, even more source code of SLE 12. The OS was even more optimized for use in the server area. A new kernel is used (4.4). The default kernel has now activated paravirtualization. The support for KVM has also been massively expanded. The network technology for IP VPS and IPv6 dramatically improved, and of course, there are more updates and changes for different architectures.

Features:

- more recent kernel version 4.4 LTS
- more source code of SLE 12 was used
- is based on the installation system v2

kind regards,
Katrin
