OwnCloud 8 for all dedicated servers can now be installed via the EUserv customer panel. In addition to the standard version, a RAID1 version for enhanced data security is available.
With the popular open source cloud solution an own server can be turned into a private cloud. OwnCloud allows the central provision of documents, music, photos and contacts as well as their synchronization. With the appropriate clients for iOS and Android, the content is accessible on the go.
The main innovation in OwnCloud 8 is the so-called "Federal Cloud Sharing" - This allows the sharing of content between multiple OwnCloud installations.
Furthermore, the new OwnCloud offers an updated version of the PDF viewer and mobile apps. A new addition is the "Favorites" - feature, with which the most frequently used content can be marked accordingly.
