« on: September 11, 2015, 03:11:37 PM »

Hello,

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11, a Linux distribution specifically suited for business customers is now available and can be installed via the customer panel. After licensing SLES 11 offers appropriate support and a long-term maintenance phase of 13 years.

As a standard file system ext3 used next to btrfs. Gnome or KDE can be selected as desktops. SLES is also suitable for the establishment of a pure virtualization host with KVM or Xen.

The installation itself ensued graphically via VNC. This allows an individual design of the partition, software selection and other settings.

More features:

- GNOME and KDE as desktop
- support for btrfs
- Long-term support after licensing
- 60-days evaluation license after registration available

Note: SLES is a licensed operating system. A 60-days evaluation license is available after registering the installation. For more information, see https://www.suse.com/de-de/products/server/policy.html

kind regards,
Katrin
