2) Server News: Operating system Ubuntu 16.04 LTS available
The operating system Ubuntu 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" is now available for
all dedicated servers and ready for an automatic installation via EUserv
customer panel. In addition to the standard version a RAID1 version is also
available.
The latest release offers five years Support and contains the change to
another program for Software-Installation providing Support for the package
format "Snap". Thereby also applications not being enclosed in Ubuntu 16.04
can still be installed. Furthermore, a ready to use support for the ZFS
file system as well as the Command line tool "apt" are included. So, the
previous commands apt-cache and apt-get are not longer applicable.

The DENIC, registry of the German Top-Level-Domain .DE, contributed part of
the IDNA2008-Code for the latest version 45 of the Email-Clients
Thunderbird being published in April 2016 and has therefore ensured that
Special characters such as "Eszett" (ß) are supported for e-mail addresses
by now.
So far, the special character was automatically converted to "ss". Now lots
of users of other language families, which are also not based on the Latin
Charset will benefit from this innovation, amongst others because now the
entire spectrum of characters IDNA2008 is available in Thunderbird for the
first time. Also characters from Greek, Farsi and Sinhala can now be used
as independent characters in Domainnames.
The donated DENIC Code was already implemented in early March in version 45
of the Internetbrowser Mozilla Firefox and enables Internet users to call
Domains whose Special characters have being converted so far.
