VNC installations for dedicated servers
« on: October 26, 2017, 03:16:13 PM »

Hello,

The following VNC installations for dedicated servers are now available and can be installed via the customer panel with the new installation system "v2":

* CentOS 6 - 64Bit - VNC-Installation v2
* CentOS 7 - 64Bit - VNC-Installation v2
* Fedora 25 - 64Bit - VNC-Installation v2
* OpenSuSE Leap 42.2 - 64Bit - VNC-Installation v2
* OpenSuSE Tumbleweed - 64bit - VNC-Installation v2
* SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 - 64bit - VNC-Installation v2
* SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 - 64bit - VNC-Installation v2

For SLES 11 and 12, there is a limitation. These OS have been tested primarily for Prime64, Filer and Pro64 servers.

The previous VNC installations will be removed from the installation list in the customer panel within the next weeks and will be put on end-of-live. Please use only the installation possibilities of the new installation system "v2".

Please note:
For VNC installations, a VNC viewer is required, which you can use to connect to the server and then perform the VNC installation.

For those who are not yet familiar with VNC, please see the following overview of the benefits:

* Graphical installation via VNC client, possibly with mouse support
* Choosing an individual partition layout
* Choice of an individual file system
* Add desired software packages during installation
* Create additional users during installation

kind regards,
Katrin
