The current version of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS code name "Trusty Tahr" can now be installed via the customer panel for all VPS. There is the 32bit and a 64bit version.
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS comes with better TCP Connection Management, App Armor optimizations and multi-platform support for ARM. The latter makes it possible to build a kernel for multiple ARM platforms. Moreover, Python is included in version 3.4, which now supports the package manager Pip and comes with a statistics module. Ubuntu continues Upstart (1.12.1), which will be replaced in the next version of Systemd. In the cloud area "Trusty Tahr" counts on OpenStack.
