1) Server News#1: Pro64 Hybrid Server

Recently the Pro64-series has been extended for another three new models. The Pro64-models of the „Hybrid-series“ connect conventional hard disc space (2 24x7 hard discs in Hardware RAID1) with two large SSDs. The Hybrid servers can be used perfectly for professional virtual-applications with high I/O performance.

IP nets in connection with VLAN are optionally available and enable a deployment of an own private cloud on more servers in the Euserv datacenter.



"Pro64 Hybrid v5"
The server is a combination of the Pro64 M and Pro64 SSD. It comes with 2x 1TB SSD's and 2x 3TB HDD's each in hardware RAID1. Every hard disk or SSD is hot-swappable, so it can be replaced during operation without server downtime.

"Pro64 L SSD v5"
The server is based on the "Pro64 SSD". It is delivered with 128GB REG ECC RAM and contains 2x 1TB SSD's in hardware RAID1. The server is ideal for database applications that require a lot of RAM and high I/O performance.

2)Server News#2: Parallel Plesk Panel 12 available

With the appearance of Parallels Plesk Panel 12, we are offering two actualized operating system images (with CentOS 6.5 respectively Debian 7.2 as basis), which are available for installation in version Standard and RAID1 in the customer panel.

Plesk 12 comes with features in mail, usability and safety. So Plesk 12 now offers protection against outbound spam and the provided Dovecot supports server-based mail-filtering. In addition, mail services can now be enabled or disabled domain based.

Under security points, Plesk 12 now offers support for Fail2ban and ModSecurity. The Apache-based Web application firewall is designed to protect customer websites against exploits and other security risks more effectively. Attractive for Resellers is the "WordPress-Toolkit" - this allows the deployment and management of various WordPress installations on the respective customer webspace and ongoing security updates.

3)Server News#3: „Summer Server Sale 2014“ – Only a few servers left

4) VPS News#1: Debian 7.5 and 7.6 available

The Debian project published the fifth and sixth update of the stable releases „Wheezy“. We offer a minimal installation image installable via customer panel. Debian 7.5 and 7.6 come with security fixes and solve critical errors. As usual, all available packages do not contain actualizations, just corresponding bugs and security lacks have been closed.

These bugfixes concern more than 100 packages (curl, nmap, openvpn, php5 und perl). More actualizations have been made at the time zone data (tzdata), Firebug, Flashblock, Greasemonkey, Noskript and sage-extension.

5) VPS News#2: CentOS 6.5 available

The updated OS version CentOS 6.5 can now be installed on VPS in the EUserv customer panel.

With CentOS, a fully binary Linux distribution, compatible to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, is provided. Fast response time with respect to the provision of updates and the possibility of additional support, is characterized.

Important changes are the fully supporting of Precision Time Protocol, support for Network Time Stamping by the bnx2x driver, tg3, e1000e, igb, ixgbe, sfc and the update of OpenSSL to version 1.0.1. In addition, OpenSSL and NSS now support TLS 1.1 and 1.2.

Major changes of CentOS 6.5 include:

- OpenSSL update to version 1.0.1
- TLS 1.1 and 1.2 support OpenSSL and NSS
- Full support for Precision Time Protocol
- Support for Network Time Stamping
