Distribution Fedora 20 for dedicated servers available
« on: January 22, 2014, 04:16:27 PM »

Hello,

Fedora 20 (codename "Heisenbug") is now available in the customer panel for automatic installation for all root servers. In addition to the standard version, a RAID1 array can be selected.

With the abolition of /var/log/messages, the logging is now completely taken over by Journald. The binary log can be called with "journalctl" and (r) syslog can still be obtained from the package sources. As Init-Daemon and tool for various management tasks, systemd can be used. In the base installation of Fedora 20 MTA sendmail is no longer required. In addition to a current kernel 3.11.10, Heisenbug comes with innovations for desktop with the latest Gnome and KDE.

More features:

- MongoDB as version 2.4
- ARM emulation integrated into libvirt
- Virt-Manager now supports snapshots

kind regards,
Katrin
