With the latest update of the EUserv customer panel, it is now possible to manage the Greylisting function for incoming emails. All MailDomain and Web Hosting plans with email boxes are supported.
What is Greylisting?
When greylisting the first delivery of an incoming email by an unknown sender is rejected. A real mail server usually leads from a second delivery, which is then accepted. The following three parameters are stored for the Greylisting administration:
- sender address
- recipient's address or recipient domain
- IP address of the sending mail server
Advantages offered by the process are:
- less spam that must be processed by following filters
- the Greylisting only blocks junk mail, viruses, worms and Trojans
- normal emails will not be blocked and will not get lost
Greylisting is always active by default. The new customer panel function enables the shut down of the Greylisting - function in favor of a faster email delivery.
