http://go.euserv.org/aF2) Server News #1: IPv4/IPv6 DualStack installation for dedicated servers
EUserv now provides the automatic installation of an IPv6 address for
dedicated servers by default.
IPv6 is the successor to the existing IPv4 and has a much larger address
space. With the increasing address shortage, especially in the ARIN (North
America) managed IPv4 address space, IPv6 gets more and more in focus.
If you perform a server Re-Install an IPv6 address besides an IPv4 address
will be automatically created and configured, so the server will be
DualStack capable "Out of the box" after finishing the installation.
The EUserv customer panel and all other management tools will be provided
with appropriate extensions within the next update.

The virtualization platform Proxmox VE 4.0 can now be installed via the
EUserv customer panel in version Standard or RAID1 (both with LVM).
The new release comes with a number of significant changes. These include
eg. the complete support for IPv6 (for VMs as well as containers) and the
use of LXC instead of OpenVZ.
Proxmox VE 4.0 is based on Debian 8 ("Jessie") and a kernel 4.2.
Qemu/KVM in version 2.4 and the current Ceph-packages are used, DRBD 9 is
included as tech preview. "NoVNC" is used as client to access virtual
machines.
With the new release, OpenVZ containers are replaced by LXC. The cluster
management has also been overhauled and can now be managed by GUI ("HA
Manager"). Another new feature is the "Proxmox HA Simulator" which
simulates a virtual cluster consisting of three nodes and 6 VMs. With the
cluster, some test scenarios can be processed in advance (How does the
cluster react when a node fails or parts of the network are no longer
accessible).
More features:
- OpenVZ containers replaced by LXC
- DRBD 9 as Tech-Preview
- full IPv6-Support (for VMs, containers and host)
- Simulation tool "HA Simulator"

The admin panel EasySCP (Easy Server Control Panel) is now available for
all root servers and can be installed via the EUserv customer panel.
EasySCP is a multi-server management and administration tool and a
alternative to Plesk.
With EasySCP you can create and manage domains, aliases and subdomains. In
addition, e-mail addresses can be created and managed for clients, too.
Another feature is the creation and management of FTP and MySQL databases.
EasySCP is the successor of ispCP and is characterized by some technical
differences and many other improvements in security to its predecessor,
such as the support for PHP as FastCGI instead of mod_php.
More features:
- Create and manage domains, aliases and subdomains
- Create and manage e-mail addresses for clients
- Create and manage FTP and MySQL databases
- Detailed statistics on memory usage and Traffic

5) Security News: Phishing emails to domain owners (suspension emails)
For a few days phishing emails are sent to resellers and end customers. The
senders change and are generally based on an ICANN member.
These emails indicate that a particular domain name has been suspended and
the users are asked to promptly click on a link.
The email addresses that are used are intentionally based very close to the
respective ICANN member, but rarely really the correct ones. They are used
in the "From" and "Reply-To" header.
Please be very careful regarding this false suspension messages.
If you receive an email, please note:
* do not click any links
* do not answer
* never call a phone number
If you are unsure, please forward the email to the customer support.
Kind regards,
EUserv customer service
