1) Server News: Expansion of Server-Marketplace by adding
IP-addresses and Raid1-Servers

Dedicated servers on stock, which can not be included in existing server series or which are published by EUserv as a special respectively that are produced separately are now offered at EUserv's Server-Marketplace:

-----------------------------------------------------
http://www.euserv.com/en/dedicated-server/marketplace
-----------------------------------------------------

We already got constructive customer feedback as well as requests and suggestions for a continuous expansion of the Server-Marketplace via our forums. Euserv took this opportunity to extend the Marketplace by adding the following new features:

* More IP-Addresses
-----------------
Both editions now obtain the option (with costs) to configure multiple IPv4- and IPv6-Addresses. The "100Mbit Edition" might be extended with up to 15 additional IP-Addresses and the "Gbit-Edition" with up to 31 additional IP-Addresses. Thus minor virtualization projects might be realized.

* Serverhardware including Raid1
------------------------------
At the Marketplace EUserv now also offers ervers including 2 hard disks to afford Software-Raid1 functionality.

If there are any further requests or suggestions regarding an expansion of the Server-Marketplace, please drop us a note via EUserv forums: http://go.euserv.org/lo

2) Event-News: First Hackathon "LNDC" was a raving success

In cooperation with other three local companies and the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (WHZ) EUserv organized the Hackathon "Lange Nacht des Coding" (#LNDC) which took place on October 28th and 29th, 2016 in Zwickau. For 24 hours 27 highly motivated and concentrated participants developed interesting and innovative projects. For promoter as wells as for participants the event was a raving success where finally 6 Teams convinced the judging panel with their submitted applications. Besides coding everyone also participated in a lively exchange of knowledge and know-how.

Visit us on Facebook for a review and impressions of the first LNDC: http://go.euserv.org/lr

4) Service + Support News: New features and transaction-fees for
paying with PayPal

Fill-Up your customer account with PayPal:
------------------------------------------
In Euserv's customer panel a new option to fill-up your account is available for payment method "PayPal". Thereby you get the possibility to deposit an amount to your EUserv account whenever you like regardless if there are any unpaid invoices or not. This may provide an alternative solution to bridge holidays and to avoid outstanding money for your services. New invoices will be settled automatically from your customer account.

Transaction-fees for paying with PayPal:
----------------------------------------
As of December 2016 EUserv will bequeath the incurring PayPal transaction-fees to all the customers using this payment method. For fairness reasons we won't allocate these costs to our product prices. Only customers using PayPal for their settlements will have to pay the appropriate fees.

You pay with PayPal? Please note the following advices:
-------------------------------------------------------
The PayPal transaction fee vary according to country and invoice amount. EUserv figures the definite sum of the incurring PayPal-fees during the payment-process in the customer panel. If you are using PayPal please ensure that the assigned country in EUserv's customer panel is according with the country stored in your PayPal account to guarantee a correct charging.

How to pay your EUserv invoices with PayPal is explained here: http://go.euserv.org/lq

Which alternatives exempt from charges does EUserv offer?
---------------------------------------------------------
Bank transfer is still available as an alternative exempt from charges for any EUserv customer. Furthermore customers based in Germany may also pay via Direct Debit.

Hello,

Version 3 of the Linux Rescue System is now available in the customer panel under the menu "Rescue-System" as beta version for all dedicated servers . The v3 can still be started via the network.

The new Rescue System v3 will replace the previous Gentoo Linux based system. The new system operates on a slightly modified CentOS6 platform and, like with the previous Rescue System, allows to work on the server without using the system installed on the hard disk, e.g. for debugging.

The most important advantage of the new system is that there is a usable installation environment over "yum", i.e. Packages can be easily installed afterwards. The Rescue System thus becomes significantly more flexible than the previous one because additional repositories can also be integrated.

Whats new:

* CentOS6 based Linux Rescue System
* Enhanced driver support for maximum hardware compatibility
* Enabled firewall (IPv4 and IPv6)
* Preconfigured IPv4 and IPv6 support
* Functional "yum" package manager
* Additional integration of repositories possible
* Support for 3ware and LSI hardware raid controllers

kind regards,
Katrin

Hello List Members,

EUserv´s "Server Market" starts right now under
http://www.euserv.com/en/dedicated-server/marketplace

What is the "Server Market"?
--------------------------------------

The Server Market offers discounted server models, which can not be included in existing server series or which are published by EUserv as a special action or servers which have been custom-made for a customer project and are now available to other customers after termination as well as servers that are produced separately and once for the server market.

What is so special about the Server Market?
----------------------------------------------------------

The special features of the EUserv Server Market are:

* All servers are immediately available and will be released immediately after payment. If the servers are single units and two servers are ordered at the same time, the "First Come - First Serve" principle applies.

* All servers are offered discounted, so if similar hardware is available in another server series, it will usually be cheaper on the Server Market.

* No server will be re-produced: If the server is sold out, it is sold out. Any interested customer should therefore order immediately in order to secure the server.

* Contract Term: There are different contract terms for different server models. The contract terms are fix and can not be changed later.

* Discounts: Usually there are discounts for longer contract terms/ prepayment periods. These discounts apply permanently, i.e. over the entire contract term until termination.

What plans are offered?
--------------------------------

There is a plan with 100Mbit connection and unmetered bandwidth called"100Mbit - Edition" and a plan with 1Gbit connection and unmetered bandwidth called "1Gbit - Edition". The "1Gbit-Edition" has advanced functions, such as the possibility to book additional IP addresses.

What are the options when a server is sold out?
---------------------------------------------------------------

No options. When a server is sold out, it automatically "disappears" from the website.

How can I find out more about the latest servers?
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Each new Market offer automatically appears on the website and can then be ordered and will be delivered immediately. We also post new offers on Twitter. Any interested customer should therefore subscribe to the EUserv Twitter Channel:

https://twitter.com/euservhosting

kind regards,

1) Specials + Offers: Free setup for any .DE-Domain in plan
"Domain Pro" for a short time

This year the Top-Level-Domain .DE is celebrating its 30th anniversary! On 5 November 1986 .DE-Domain was delegated by IANA. .DE is the country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) of the Federal Republic of Germany. EUserv uses this jubilee and waives setup-fee in plan „Domain Pro“ for any registration and transfer of .DE-Domains.

Today DENIC counts more then 16 million registered .DE-Domains. Use EUserv Domaincheck to see if your preferred domain is still available. Then register your .DE-domain in EUserv plan „Domain Pro“ for only 0,69 EUR per month and without any setup-fee for a short time. The plan offers a graphical DNS-administration tool to afford the opportunity to add DNS entries to an IP-address of an external server. Also it is possible to create an own mailserver with MX entry in domain zone. Furthermore the plan includes the option to redirect domains to any forward address.

Get your .DE-Domain with free setup here:

*********** Free setup for limited "Prime64 v5" Rootservers  ***********

In line with demand EUserv offers „Prime64 v5“ Rootservers in limited stock and without any setup-fee for 12- as well as for 1-month contracts. "Prime64 v5" servers are available with

3) Network News : Deployment of new 10 GBit connection to Amsterdam

EUserv has deployed a new 10 GBit connection between Jena and Amsterdam. With this additional connection EUserv increases bandwidth of the network once more and thus assures availability of the servers and services hosted in EUserv's datacenter in Jena.

4) Domain News: How to use the new Top-Level-Domains (nTLDs) in practise

Short and memorable webaddresses especially under .DE and .COM are rarely nowadays. That's why new Top-Level-Domains (nTLSs) are providing an excellent opportunity to create concise addresses including an allusion to the content your website offers by choosing a „speaking“ TLD. So domains evolve from a (neccassary) attachment into a creative part of your webaddress. Testing, trying and varying is no problem with nTLDs even in a theme-, business-, personal- or regional-specific content. Please find some interesting suggestions for personal domains below:

Unity Day on October 3rd, 2016.

5) Domain News: .DE-Domain price adjustment in plan "Domain Basic / Domain Lite" effective
    November 1st, 2016

We hereby inform about an upcoming price adjustment for .DE-Domains
effective from November 1st, 2016.

As of due date EUserv will raise the price for .DE-Domains in the plan
"Domain Basic" / "Domain Lite" by 0.20 EUR per month.

Thus, the price for .DE domains in the mentioned plan will increase from
currently 0,29 EUR/month to 0.49 EUR/month.
The domain prices in plans "Domain Pro", "MailDomain Lite/Basic" and
"MailDomain Pro" will remain unchanged.

Why is this price adjustment necessary?
---------------------------------------

In their present form the plans "Domain Basic" / "Domain Lite" for .DE
domains are not longer economically efficient for EUserv because an
increasing complexity of the technical platform as well as a continuously
raising administration effort, regarding legal domain issues for example,
cause higher operating costs. We won't compensate these increased costs any
longer and decided to pass price adjustments to our customers
prospectively.

What does that mean for me?
---------------------------

Except the above mentioned price increase nothing will change for you.
Existing domain contracts that will be settled from November 1, 2016 the
billing will be subject to the new prices.
Already settled contracts won't be recalculated.

What happens, if I do not agree with the new price?
--------------------------------------------------

If you don't want to continue hosting your .DE-Domain by EUserv, please
cancel your contract via EUserv customer panel by October 31st, 2016 at the
latest, to avoid further billings. If you have any questions or need help,
please feel free to contact EUserv customer support.

The IPv6 functionality for all VPS plans is now available in beta phase.

Each VPS user of a regular plan can assign a /128 IPv6 address to himself via the customer panel in the menu "IPv6-Addresses". The IPv6 address will be available after a reboot of the VPS via the customer panel.

If a VPS plan is not enabled for IPv6 yet, please contact the support directly.

3) Domain News #1: New Top Level Domains (nTLDs) available

The large variety of new Top-Level-Domains (nTLDs) not only allows private
individuals many alternative domain combinations but also companies.
Services can be placed more precisely according to the specific target
groups by the additional information included in the nTLD such as .wien or
.berlin with a clear local reference.

Companies may also register nTLDs to specify their offers. For example
.clothing, .photography, .science or .technology provide exact information
about products and services for users and search engines. Last but not
least the new domains are a good alternative for those who couldn't get
their preferred address under the common domains .de, .com, .net or .org.
The nTLDs are also suitable to complement already existing websites or
rather to send Emails under your quite individual name.

Are you looking for a free or alternative domain for your company? What
about:

   .COMPANY

   .JOBS

   .CAREERS

   .MANAGEMENT

   .SUPPORT

All these domains are available via EUserv website or  Customer Panel.

Check the availability of your desired domain name now:
http://go.euserv.org/jK

4) Domain News #2: IANA functions contract expires as of October 1st, 2016

Recently a milestone regarding the process to consign administration of the
Internet Domain Name System in private hands could be reached. The National
Telecommunications & Information Administration of the US-Department of
Commerce (NTIA) intends to allow the IANA functions contract to expire as
of October 1, 2016. Before NTIA received an implementation status report on
the IANA stewardship transition from the Internet Corporation for Assigned
Names and Numbers (ICANN). In the report, ICANN confirms that all the
required transition tasks are completed or will be complete in advance of
September 30, 2016.

For common users the planned modifications of IANA transition won't have
any effects. Domain-Names will be conserved as before. Regarding political
aspects expiring of IANA functions contract paves the way for a new model
of future network administration, because US-Government won't directly
influence any changes regarding the Root Zone.

Please feel free to get more information about IANA-Transition here:
